Antipole Genealogy Research

My main genealogy pages are to be found on the antipole web site, where you can read about the family lines I have researched and access my genealogical database.

The pages you are now viewing are a supplementary site documenting current research, mainly as a series of blogs in which I and other researches can record and comment on discoveries.  The information held here may be ‘in progress’ or provisional and is subject to more rapid change than the results of this research consolidated on the main pages.

For convenience you can also go straight to the database via the menu above.

You can view the blogs, and add comments, which will be seen by others following them.  I reserve the right to delete entries that have become redundant or detract from the thread.  You can also subscribe to one or more blogs via an RSS reader, such as your browser or some email programs (such as Apple Mail).  In this way you will be notified of new information or comments as they arise, without the need to check back.

Because the same names were used over and over, rarely with second names, it can be difficult to be sure which person is referred to.  I have adopted a strategy of appending a suffix letter in such cases, which uniquely identifies which individual is being referred to.

The blog entries are listed in reverse chronological order, latest first.  When viewing for the first time, you may find it helpful to select the blog archive and browse the entries starting with the earliest, thus allowing you to follow the development of the subject.

You can add comments.  If you provide additional information, please include your source.

Text shown in bold in the entries links to the relevant document or family card in the public database.  There, clicking on the person’s name will take you to the more detailed person sheet. Clicking on the camera icon, if present, will take you to a multi-media sheet containing photos or other media.
